About Us
Forget Me Knot Papers - DIY Paper.com has been selling blank
invitations and papers since 1914.
Our doors first opened in 1914 by Griffin Thompson and his son Lee as
Thompson Paper, Inc. at 8th and Central in the Graphic Arts Section of
Downtown Kansas City relocating to 9th and Broadway and then 20th and
Central in the Art District until 2006.
Our earliest customers
included Walt Disney who had a small studio up the street and Hallmark
Cards, both when they were just starting out and not yet the household
names they are today.
We still have some great framed artwork
that Walt traded out for papers (he often traded out his advertising
services as money for paper was sparse!!!)
Our family has catered to
brides and the graphics arts industry from day one and have always
carried the highest quality papers and envelopes available.
Our
goal is to have the easiest diy print your own wedding invitations
solution with papers, templates and tips.
Over the next month we
will be posting 100's of templates on everything from invitations,
programs and envelopes to hard to find quinceanera samples.
We
will be inviting anyone and everyone to share any non licensed templates
or design tips they may have.
